Philipp Georg von Zitzewitz is a Dubai-based entrepreneur and market access strategist with two decades of hands-on experience connecting international businesses to the Gulf — market entry programmes, trade missions, thought leadership conferences, and the workforce infrastructure that makes regional presence possible.
As co-founder and Managing Director of SESAM Connect, established in the UAE since 1999, he leads mandates for government trade agencies and investment promotion organisations from North America and Northern Europe — designing the access, the convening, and the commercial structures that turn market interest into durable presence.
Under SESAM Connect, he has produced and curated close to 100 expert conferences, forums, and business events across the Gulf — certifying more than 3,000 professionals and convening the regulators, practitioners, and industry voices that shape how sectors develop in the region. Platforms like the Safety Design in Buildings campaign and the Fire Safety Technology Forum — developed in collaboration with Dubai Civil Defence and Dubai Municipality — are recurring professional ecosystems built around real regulatory agendas and sustained by commercial coalitions of sponsors with a stake in the outcome.
His foundation in the region was built at the Government of Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing. That grounding, sustained over twenty years of continuous regional presence, has produced a network spanning UAE and Saudi government ministries and the senior leadership of the region’s private sector. He holds a Diploma from the Hochschule Bremen in Applied Business Languages and International Business Administration, with a focus on Business Arabic and Middle Eastern Economies.
